To save horse from drowning woman clings to it for 3 hours

Animals are our loyal friends and they provide us with unconditional love and companionship. In return, they expect nothing but love and compassion. Some animal lovers can go to any extent for the safety of their animals. They can even risk their life for this.

Here is the story of a woman who did somewhat extraordinary for her horse. This woman held on to her horse Astro for 3 hours to protect him from drowning as he was stuck in the mud. The woman named Nicole Graham did everything possible to keep her horse calm and composed in order to save him.

The 17-year-old horse which weighed 900 lbs got stuck in the mud as he went for an afternoon ride with his owner Nicole and her daughter Paris in Melbourne, Australia.

Though Paris horse also got stuck it came out easily as it was smaller than Astro. She made efforts to free Astro but in vain as he got more stuck so the only thing then left was to be with the horse and wait for the help to come.

Her daughter Paris brought the help. Astro was sedated before pulling him out. A harness was attached to him and he was pulled out by a tractor. It took 3 hours for the rescuers to pull out the horse. Most of the horses did not make out in such kind of mud.

Thanks to the owner who remained with the horse that the horse suffered only dehydration and some muscle swelling. Really Nicole did a commendable job. With her efforts, she was able to save the life of her horse.
